The march show and all other shows will now be held at Swalwell Comunity Centre. 74 Clavering Rd Swalwell NE16 3EQ

If you want any new classes on for a show just drop a sugestion to Paul Lyons and he will try and put that class on for you.

Our next show is the 6th ofJune where we will be entertaining The North East Counties Dutch Rabbit Club Young Stock Show to be judged by Mr P Abnett & the Open Show to be judged by Mr F Clipsham (Lops/ROF) A Taylor (Dutch & COM) Mr G Hodson (ND) & Mr G Watson (Fur & Rex).  Hope to see old & new faces then.  

The show held on the 6th June was a super day.  The weather for travelling was not so good but it did not dampen any one's spirits.  There was a great atmosphere and with an entry of 159 exhibits for the judges it was all set for another great show.  There were a lot of new visitors to the show and I hope they all had a good day.  We were also hosting The North East Dutch Y.S.S.  Results are as follows the main show Fur G Weston with a Satin Ivory, Rex J & C Fletcher with a Siamese /S/ Sable, Fancy P Lyons with a Black Dutch this also won the Geordie Flyer, Lop Lilllop Stud with a Agouti Mini this exhibit also went Best In Show, junior Kaisha Nord with a Netherland Dwarf.  Congratulations to them.  The North East Dutch results were Black P Lyons, Blue D & W Hill, Steel Brophy Brothers, B/Grey L Mitchell, Tort K Griffiths, Chocolate M&A Snaith, Yellow I W Cromarty.  Best in show went to P Lyons and best junior was sisters Rebecca and Sophie Johnson.  Congratulations to them

We are holding one more show before our summer break.  This will be on the 4th July.  Judges for the show are as follows Mr M McDermott (N/Dwarf) Mr L Mitchell (Dutch) Mr G Hodson (ROF) Mr P Batey (Lops) and Mr E Caulfield (Fur/Rex & Junior COM).  Look foreward to another super day and seeing all old and new faces. 

Our show held on the 4th July was a runaway success.  Fantastic weather and an entry of 204 exhibits, our best so far at our new venue.  The show was a hive of activity from start to finish.  A big thanks to all who helped with penning both erecting and putting away, stewards,and the raffles.  The results were Fur Satin Ivory G Weston, Rex Martin /s/ Sable J&C Fletcher, Lop MiniLop Kezick Stud, Best Junior Tegamma Stud and Fancy Belgian Hare which was also Best in Show D Pounder.  Congratulations to them all and a big thankyou to all the exhibitors for without you there would be no show.

We are now having a summer break. Our next show will be Saturday the 3rd of October 2009.  Hope you all have a lovely summer and look foreward to seeing you all in October.

Our first show after our Summer break really felt Autumn was on the way as we experienced very high winds. There was a good turn out none the less. There was a good entry of 210 rabbits. We were also entertaing The National Polish Rabbit Club.  It was great to see old faces and lots of new faces. Our show hall is becoming very popular with exhibitors and they all reap plenty of praise on all aspects off the show.

The results were Fur Hustlander T Branon, Ermine Rex Kudos Stud, Junior with a Lionhead Lyndsey Aldus, Lop Shramrock Stud, Fancy and Best In Show with a Pole was Fortune Stud. Congratulations to them all.

Our next show due to a clash of dates will be the14th November. Judges will be Mr A Snaith, Mr D Pounder and Mrs J Bramley. Hope to see you all there. Take care.

Our show on the 14th November was a week late due to clashing with another show.  We had an entry of 134 exhibits which was down but this was due to a clash of show dates again.  The weather was not to bad considering what had been forecast so travelling was not to bad.  The atmosphere in the hall was super a good friendly crowd and quite a few new faces.  All comments on the show hall were very good.  Best In Show went to Fortune Stud with a REW Pole, Best Lop went to Shramrock Stud with a Sooty Mini Lop,  Best Fur went to T Branen with a Hustlander and finally Best Junior went to sisters R & S Johnson.  Congratulations to them all and thanks to all the exhibitors for without you there would be no show.

Our next show is the 5th December and we will be entertaining The North East Netherland Dwarf Two Star Young & Adult show the judges being for the adult show Miss H Copeland and for the young show Mrs D Williiams.  We are also entertaing The Northern Counties Himalayan RC the judge is Mr R Young.  The judges for Wallsend are Mr A Kennedy (Lops & ND), Mr L Mitchell (Dutch & Him) Mr R Wearmouth (ROF) Mr M Purdy (Fur & Rex).  So please come along as I'm sure it will be a great day.  The canteen will be serving Christmas Lunch you can order with your entry.

One last item to mention is our AGM ON THE16TH January 2010 at 1.00p.m at The Beamish Mary Inn No-Place Durham.  On behalf off all members of Wallsend a big thankyou to Paul & Julie for all their hard work and travelling they do to keep Wallsend going.

Our December show was a great sucess an entry of 282 rabbits was a record.  The show hall was decorated for Christmas which all helped with the atmosphere.  Everyone seemed to have got into the spirit of Christmas.  The canteen done an excellent trade in Christmas dinners with no complaints.  There was a lot of new faces and lot who said they would come back again as the venue was brilliant.

The winners at the show were as follows, Best Fancy was the Brophy Brothers with a Black Dutch, Best Lop Lionhead Self V Gamble, Rex was a Black Limelight Stud, Best Junior was a Lionlop Miss R Clinton and finally Best In Show a Hustlander Shramrock Stud congratulations to them all and everyone who entered because without them there would be no show.

I would to remind you of our AGM on the 16th January 2010 at The Beamish Mary No Place Durham at 1.00pm all are welcome.

 Our first show of the year got off to a tremendous start.  We had 182 exhibits which was excellent considering it was Bradford the week before.  The weather was horrible I think everyone travelled in thick fog.  This did not deter the atmosphere in the hall it was buzzing.  It was good to see old faces and quite a few new faces.

The results were Best Dwarf Romula Stud, Best Lop Glenna Ford, Best Rex Thomas & Peter Claybourgh, Best Fur with a Hustlander Shamrock Stud, Best Junior with a Netherland Dwarf was Kaisha Nord and finally last but not least Best In Show with a Pole was Fortune Stud.  Congratulations to them all and thanks to everyone that entered without you there would be no shows.

Our next show is the 6th March 2010 and judges are Mr S Galloway Mr J Kay & Mr D Bulman Junior COM Mr D Bulman.  Look foreward to seeing you all there. 

Our show on the 6th March was a huge sucess.  The atmosphere in our show hall is fantastic.  The weather was slightly better than the month before instead of thick fog it was wet and dismal but this did not deter our entry of 191 rabbits and 53 exhibitors.  Thanks to you all for making the journey especially those travelling from further afield.

The winners were Best Dwarf and fancy was Romula Stud, Best Rex Fortune Stud with a black, Best Fur with a Martine/Sable P Farnaby this rabbit also went Best In Show, Best Lop was a German from Brewery Stud and last but not least Best Junior with a Silver was Georgia Copeland.  Georgia was on a real winning streak winning the lucky pen number also. 

   Our next show is Easter Saturday the 3rd April and judges will be as follows A Kennedy Lops and Netherland Dwarfs, D Hill Dutch, D Routley Fur/Rex and poles and M Nicholson ROF.  Look foreward to seeing you all there.
